FAQ’s

How is your fabric measured?

Our pretty fabrics are available to purchase by the FQ (fat quarter), this measures 50cm long x 55cm wide. A fat quarter is a metre of fabric cut in half and then in half again. For multiple FQ’s purchased in the same design you may receive one continuous length of fabric:

  • FQ = 55cm wide x 50cm long
  • 2 FQ’s = 110cm wide x 50cm long (0.5m)
  • 3 FQ’s = 110cm wide x 75cm long (0.75m)
  • 4 FQ’s = 110cm wide x 100cm long (1m)
  • 5 FQ’s = 110cm wide x 125cm long (1.25m)
  • 6 FQ’s = 110cm wide x 150cm long (1.5m)
  • 8 FQ’s = 110cm wide x 200cm long (2m)

Quilting fabrics are generally 110cm wide, with an additional selvedge on each side. Some fabrics are slightly wider, but this will show clearly in our descriptions
All our fabrics are carefully cut by us using both rotary cutters and scissors and we endeavour to be as accurate as we can, but we are only human. If you have any concerns with the measurements of fabric received, please do give us a call, and we will put it right!

What can I use these fabrics for?

The weight of this fabric is predominantly for patchwork and quilting, but can be used for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. But please be aware they are not of heavy duty quality.

What happens if I change my mind?

If you change your mind over an order you have received, we respectfully request that you notify us in writing before sending the goods back. If packaged by the manufacturer we would expect the packaging to be intact, and the goods inside complete. Upon receipt to our office and after inspection, a refund less any postage costs will be arranged. If paid by card, this may take 3-4 days to show on your card account.
Any fabrics cut to your specification, or special order items can not be returned or refunded.
