The Patchwork Cat story
Welcome to The Patchwork Cat, thank you for stopping by to spend some time with us.
So brew up a cup of tea, and spend an enjoyable hour perusing the shop! Go on, you know you want to!
I was born in Devon but, from the age of 2, I have lived in or around Seaford in East Sussex.
I was taught to knit by my Aunt when I was 8 years old and, as a teenager, I taught myself to crochet and went on to enjoy making lace, cross-stitching and creating tapestries.
As an adult I have spent many happy hours making cards and rugs before being bitten by the quilting bug, which rapidly developed into my biggest passion (some say obsession!) I love to machine or hand stitch my patchwork – English Paper Piecing being my favourite. However, I have had to wait four decades to realise my dream of combining my hobby with a business and creating the Patchwork Cat!
Whether you need a pin, an A2 cutting mat or anything in between I will supply you with care and enthusiasm. You will be able to spoil yourself with some of my beautiful 100% cotton fabrics designed by many superb designers, books, patterns and any accessories you need to enjoy your hobby.
I want to be able to provide a wide variety of fabrics and notions, so if there is anything you can’t find on the site please let me know and I will do my best to find it for you.
Whether you are seriously “Crafty” or just a part-time “hobbyist” I would love to help you so don’t hesitate to contact me today.
